It's all happening round these parts; the literary scene shows a healthy pulse with the 2012 Autumn series of Red Shed Readings about to take place as well as a Wakefield Lit Fest. In addition, the Black Horse Poets keep trotting on the last Tuesday of every month in Henry Boons, Westgate, Wakefield. 7-9pm. 

Poetry Party at the Orangery

As a curtain raiser to the new Red Shed Readings season and a contribution to the Wakefield Lit Fest all of the usual favourites gather together at the Orangery in Wakefield: an open mic, the silly competition, a list of featured writers to make you swoon: Jimmy Andrex, John Irving Clarke, Matthew Stoppard, Laura Potts, Adele Cairns, Emma Decent and Jane Steele plus musical contributions from Rich Cairns as well as Jacqui Wicks's Ukelele Band, don't miss this one!

Book Fest at Mocca Moocho​
